Literacy & Learning
A group performance class that uses the craft of acting to build reading fluency, prosody, and expressive comprehension — for students who already know how to decode but haven't yet discovered the joy of reading aloud with power and intention. Grounded in peer-reviewed research on Readers' Theatre and repeated oral reading, this class is the bridge between knowing how to read and loving to read.
Specialized reading intervention for students with Dyslexia, reading disabilities, and below-grade-level literacy skills. Using Orton-Gillingham methods (Boost, Rewards), multisensory phonics instruction, and the science of reading, I provide the kind of targeted, individualized support that schools are often unable to deliver consistently.
A group theatre class for students in Grades 3–6 that uses original scripts and performance to build the social skills, emotional regulation, and executive functioning that every child needs — and that neurodivergent learners often need the most. This is not a remediation class. It is a creative space where every student discovers what they are capable of, and where learning to act means learning to connect.
Expert guidance for families navigating the special education system — from a certified Special Education teacher with 14 years of experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans. I help parents understand evaluation data, review IEP goals for appropriateness, prepare for IEP meetings, and collaborate efficiently with service providers to appropriately track progress.
Performing Arts
An 8-week intensive scene study program for serious young actors ages 14–22 who want to develop real craft beyond community theatre. Grounded in the same character-driven, text-based methodology taught at the nation's top conservatories, this program treats young actors as artists — not students.
A monthly ongoing scene study workshop for adult actors ages 22 and up — community theatre veterans, aspiring film actors, and anyone who has always wanted to study acting seriously. Taught by a Juilliard-trained director with professional Shakespearean stage credits, this is the only program of its kind in the Broken Arrow area.
A seasonal 4-week workshop dedicated to classical text — Shakespeare monologues, sonnets, and scenes — for students ages 14 and up. Whether you are preparing a classical monologue for a college BFA audition or simply want to understand how to make Shakespeare speak, this intensive will change the way you hear language.
Comprehensive, package-based coaching for high school students applying to BFA Acting, BFA Musical Theatre, BA Theatre, and conservatory programs. Guided by a Juilliard alumna who knows what top programs are actually looking for — from the inside.
A Unique Distinction
My attendance at The Juilliard School for Acting (2001–2003) and professional work in theatre and film are not just biographical footnotes — they are the foundation of a uniquely powerful approach to communication, confidence, and learning. No other educator in the Broken Arrow area brings this combination of elite performing arts training and years of certified special education experience.
